Project Timeline
We are so excited to have been just a tiny part of such a challenging engineering project. The new Metro station in Vienna, Austria was a civil engineering project on a huge scale and handled expertly by Wiener Linien, the company responsible for Vienna’s transport infrastructure.
NTR was asked to get involved when the hydraulic braces and shoring equipment were manufactured locally by one of our customers, R.H. Mawson Engineers. Our small but invaluable input was the drilling of the flanges, machining the weld preparations and the joint pins as a small component of these massive hydraulic braces. Used to shore up the earth as the construction teams burrow into the earth, this amazing project.
This mighty development of city infrastructure was a real honour to work on and such a joy to see how our component engineering projects, can be used in such an awe inspiring way. We look forward to seeing the completed images when the space is filled with trains and travellers.
Thank you to R.H. Mawsons, Groundforce and of course, project owners: Wiener Linien for such amazing photographs.
