You will support our Manufacturing and Engineering Teams as an apprentice in a variety of ways, including hands-on engineering experience, learning about basic engineering, materials, tooling and application. All learning will work along side practical experience in milling, lathe work and welding. If the applicant shows promise in working within a CAD/CAM and CNC area, the apprenticeship could be tailor-made to accommodate it.
The site is commutable from York, Leeds or Harrogate and is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team who take pride in their work. As part of your apprenticeship, you will be fully supported in gaining a relevant qualification, giving you the skills and expertise to succeed in your career.
Due to COVID-19 Compliance, all initial interviews will be conducted via Zoom to ensure the safety of everyone involved. If you are successful in the subsequent application process, you will be invited to visit the client site where strict social distancing will be adhered to.
What are the entry requirements?
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including English and Maths.
- A friendly and confident manner.
- Strong practical skills.
- Able to use own initiative and make decisions.
- Interest in engineering and understanding how things work.
- Effective and efficient time management.
- Good computer skills would be an advantage.
- A full driving licence and vehicle is necessary due to location.
